CARNAVAL
by Collectif Scale (FR)
Carnaval is a living fresco, visually inspired by the artistic codes of the Bauhaus. Though its graphic composition is two-dimensional, its labyrinth of interwoven lines creates a striking sense of perspective. From stillness and flatness emerge movement and depth.
Beyond its dynamic design, the choreography of light — an exact transcription of the music — unfolds a poetic and captivating narrative.
The collective draws inspiration from both contemporary art and pop culture. Refusing to define themselves individually as artists, its members advocate for collective creation under a single name.
Together, they explore the connections between music and visual art, light and architecture, nature and the future, human and machine.
Over the years, through their creations for festive music scenes and museum environments, the Collectif Scale has developed a unique language. They create technological, narrative, and sensory works that are both playful and accessible, with a constant drive to innovate and push the boundaries of creation.
